On a 70-acre wildlife sanctuary at Stokes Bay, on the north coast of Kangaroo Island, South Australia — right beside the beach and about 400 metres from Lathami Conservation Park.
What’s the difference between the two cottages?
They’re near-identical in look and feel — both fully self-contained with sea views and a private verandah. The one-bedroom suits couples; the three-bedroom gives families and small groups more room.
Will we really see wildlife?
Yes. There are no cages or enclosures — kangaroos, wallabies, rosellas and sheep live freely across the property. Dawn and dusk are the best times, often right by the verandah.
Are the cottages self-contained?
Fully. Each has a complete kitchen, BBQ, bathroom and everything you need to cook and settle in, so you can stock up and stay put.
