No cages, no enclosures. About 80 kangaroos graze the same 70 acres you do, wild koalas feed in the trees just behind the cottages, and wallabies and possums come out after sunset — with Glossy Blacks and abundant birdlife by day. Sit still on the verandah and it all comes to you.
A stunning swimming beach with a natural rock pool. The clifftop is directly accessible from the cottages for scenic cliff walks.
The cottages sit in the grazing area of about 80 kangaroos, with wild koalas, wallabies, possums and abundant birdlife all around.
Close by on the north coast — more wildlife and bush tracks to wander.
Head out directly from the Stokes Bay boat basin to meet the coast from the water.

The cottages
Two fully self-contained cottages, set 20 metres apart for privacy, each with its own stunning sea view. The only real question is how much room you need.
For couples & small stays · Sleeps up to 3
A private seaside retreat with one queen bed, plus a double sofa bed in the lounge (or a single temporary bed). Wake to the ocean, share the verandah with kangaroos, and have the whole sanctuary as your backyard.
For families & groups · Sleeps up to 6
One queen, one double and two single beds — room for the whole family (including infants) to spread out, cook together and settle in, with the same view, wildlife and privacy.

Both are fully self-contained with sea views and a balcony. The one-bedroom sleeps up to 3 (a queen plus a double sofa bed or single); the three-bedroom sleeps up to 6 with one queen, one double and two single beds.
Yes. There are no cages or enclosures. The cottages sit among about 80 grazing kangaroos, with wild koalas about 40 metres behind, wallabies and possums after sunset, and abundant birdlife including visiting Glossy Blacks.
We recommend buying all your food before arriving — there are no close grocery stores. Parndana has two small supermarkets, a post office and a bakery; Kingscote has a large Drakes supermarket with mainland-comparable prices.
Book the SeaLink ferry early (vehicle spaces are limited), or Qantas flies daily from Adelaide to Kingscote. Bring or hire a car — there’s no public transport, and no Ubers or taxis. We’re reached on bitumen, then a ~500 m gravel driveway suitable for any vehicle taken with care.
No fixed AC (single-phase power) — but coastal nights are rarely hot, and each cottage has ceiling fans, extra fans and a portable air conditioner. There’s no washing machine as we rely on rainwater and trucked-in water; laundry liquid is provided for hand washing, with laundromats in Parndana and Kingscote.
No pets, to protect the free-living wildlife. EV charging isn’t possible at the cottages, since the single-phase electricity is fully needed to run the appliances inside — please plan your charging ahead.
